how to activate EM.1 (R)

this time i would like to teach and demo how to make EMAS ( EM Activated Solution )

Materials.

1) 1 liter of EM.1 (R) (New sticker)




2) 1 liter of fine agricultural grade molasses



3) 20 liter Air Tight Double layer Plastic Container



4) unclorinated water




method

1) put the molasses into the plastic container and dissolve it with warm water then top up normal unclorinated water to 20 liter

p/s mix it well together

2) add 1 liter EM.1 inoculant into the plastic container slowly




3) close the lid

p/s mix it slowly and then store at ambient temperature

4) after 3 days the plastic container will swelling due gas production from reaction of inoculant and molasses, so slowly open the lid and release the gas then close it back



cheak the pH if have one pH meter, normaly it will go down as low as 4 (acidic) after 3-4 days and it will can go below 3.9 after 7 days.

after 3 days

finally, after 7 days, the EMAS can be use, the effective period is 14 days, but need to be finish within 30 days. the solution is not really effective after 30 days.

therefore when u want to activate ur EM.1 please calculate it according to urs usage either for agricultural, poultry, aquaqulture, making compost,waste management or etc.
